WOYWW #152 and A Giveaway

I am going to keep it short and sweet this week, just as Julia wishes!
Very organised, I hear you cry. Well I am determined to achieve something today! I have to make three cards, one for my nephew who was 12 yesterday (my children are seeing him on Friday) one for my Mum and one for my husband's aunt, they share the same birthday! I know what I'm doing for my nephew, an ink swipe and a masculine stamped image, but as for the ladies? Who knows? I may do dome blog hopping for inspiration or I may just trawl through the pictures of my cards which I've made before.

A closer look into the boxes! I must find a better way to store ink pads! I don't have a dedicated craft room so all my supplies are in a 6 drawer plastic cabinet thingy in the front room, not ideal but at least it's down here where I craft. In the past it has been in the dining room, the spare room and my bedroom!
Finally I'll leave you with a note I left for my husband. He is going out tonight so, in order to be home early he had to start work at the crack of sparrows.

Oh my, I nearly forgot the giveaway! I've been waiting for certain numbers on my hit counter and I keep missing them! Anyway, it has now gone over the 2500 mark so I'm going to give away one of my cushions! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I'll get a random child to choose a random number!
This is the cushion you'll win.

So, enjoy your weekly snoop on Julia's blog and leave me a comment to be in with a chance of winning.
Take Care
Jakix

  1. You always look so organised Jaki. I am impressed that you can fit all your craft stash into 6 drawers! One day when I've tidied my craft room I may take a picture! I am reading your blog, putting off the fact that I have 3 classes to finish preparing for - plus the house is feeling neglected, much more interesting seeing what other people are up to!

Pretty cushion by the way xx

  2. What a lovely bright cushion. Yes I had to have all my
stash in containers like you until just a few months ago when I decided to have a corner of the house just for me. Its not a huge spot and by no means a room. My favorite storage item for my craft spot is my trolley that's on wheels with a hanging divider for paper and lots of little draws. It fits under my table, I can move it around so that might be a solution for you. Think I have a photo of it on a previous WOYWW. Have a great day :) Sandy #109

  5. Hi Jaki Your note reminds me it is dinner time!! Watch out I was led to believe if you leave your big n juicy ink pads tilted the inks will run into one another. True or false I have never tested it - You should see me packing them if I take them to a class :-) Lovely cushion - makes me yearn for summer. WOYWW Hugs to you Helen 64

  11. Dang! I 4-got my sammitch today. That note totally made me giggle. I thought it was a note to yourself at first. I leave those for myself all the time. I love your cushion. I swear I have paper in that exact same pattern. I keep all my Marvy inks in a plastic drawer, but they do stack well. My most used inks-Momento and Versafine sit on top of my desk in the trays of a rotating pencil holder. I have a cassette tape holder in a closet on the wall that holds most of my other inks. Now that I sell A Muse I got a bunch of their inks and I'm clueless where to put them. They are in a jumble in a plastic bin. Oh yeah, as are my Momento little inks... storage, always an issue.

  13. I love that cushion! I keep my inks in my tote bag but its not ideal. They are on their side in the square pockets (Distress Inks) but some of the lids tend to slip off so I have had to put tape on them. I take them everywhere with me so they need to be in my tote. Well I don't tend to need them on the school run so much, or Tesco, but you never know.... And good luck with the quacks, you know where I am if you need to chat. Yes we have different situations but it can still help to share. Take care luvvie xx

  17. Fandabbydosey cushions! One tip I would share, especially for the distress inks. If you stick little labels on one side and colour with the ink, & write the ink name onit. This should show up if you stack the inks in your crates??? Worth a try anyway. Cheers, have a nice day! EmmGee x
