WOYWW

Here we are again and my desk is actually showing signs of activity, albeit reluctant activity.
I belong to an ATC group and this month's themes is 'Liquid' Really? I was toying with stamping then I thought, 'Pah' so off I went to The Graphics Fairy for some inspiration and lo and behold, an ATC is being formed:

We have:

  • a box of stamps, hardly ever used, an impulse buy from Create and Craft often regretted
  • the image from The Graphics Fairy, it's for Lion's Coffee, you can see the original image here
  • the ATC is one I received in the swap, the theme was Theatre
  • my beloved ATG and trimmer
I have also been making felted Easter bunnies, these have been receiving mixed reviews from my husband and children! I probably can't say what my boys said as it's a bit non PC these days.

I also managed to make some strawberry jam with my French student last week. Never again!

If you want to see some more inspirational desks, hope over to Julia's blog.

Happy WOYWW

  1. Hi Jaki, haven't we all ordered from C&C, or even QVC, at some time and lived to regret it. However, it is a nice box :) Your Easter bunnies are charming - can't imagine what your boys could have said that was so bad! Hope you have a great day, Elizabeth xx

PS: don't look for me on WOYWW - I'm running so late, I've decided not to participate this week :(

  3. Hi Jaki, I did think about leaving you a garbled comment and signing off as anonymous (snort!) - just to make you think the troll was now stalking YOU as well as Kirsty!

Love your Easter bunnies - and am so with you about ordering from shopping channels then wondering if I'd lost me marbles :(

    Have a happy WOYWW!!

    Hugs, Di xx

  5. Hope the ATC creating goes well.....maybe you could cut an ATC size piece out of acetate and drop some glossy accents on it.....well, I thought it was a cool idea - had another thought if you had a miniature cup/glass/bottle you could put it on the acetate atc with glossy accents, it would look like the cup (or whatever) had fallen over and the liquid had spilled out - okay I'm going now before I get even more carried away!

  6. Lol! I HAVE to know what your boys said about the bunnies!! They're not cutesy, that's for sure!!
And what happened with the French student and the jam making? Did they get their fraise and framboise mixed up??
AND I had to blame someone for the fat quarter buying and I wouldn't have known about them if you hadn't given me the heads up :) That's the way I justify most of my craft spending....ask Julia :)

  7. I am new to ATC's so it is always nice to be able to see other peoples work, it is such a small piece to work on.

  8. Great looking desk. I think every stamper has more then one stamp set they bought on the spur of the moment and have rarely used...I know I do! Sounds like an interesting story behind the jam making and the french student... Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Vickie #1

  9. Well "coffee" is a brilliant take on the "liquid" theme, and the bunnies are a sweet beginning at needle felting!

    Happy WOYWW!

  10. I'm late visiting and have no pics to view. :( It does sound you're a busy lady. Don't let the boys get you down they have a skewed sense of design. I've started working on ATCs myself! The trick I'm finding is to...Relax... a couple days late Happy WOYWW! Nan #25

  11. Hi Jacki,

Sorry I am late getting back to you, I don't know why but I can't see any pictures on your blog. I used to make ATCs but gave it up a few years ago they really are wonderful little pieces of art.
